K-Wellness, emotional care born in Korea
A new wellness category rooted in Korean emotional culture. You know K-Beauty, K-Pop, K-Food. This is care for your heart, built on warmth, presence, and connection.
What is K-Wellness?
You know K-Beauty. K-Pop. K-Food. Meet K-Wellness: Korean emotional care, for your heart.
“Born in Korea, where emotional care begins with just being together. Ongi brings that warmth to the world.”
In Korea, there's a word with no English translation: Jeong (정). It's the deep bond that forms when someone simply stays by your side — through good days and hard days alike. K-Wellness is emotional care rooted in this warmth. Not about fixing what's broken. About being present, together.

K-Wellness, answered
- What is K-Wellness?
- K-Wellness is emotional care rooted in Korean culture. Just as K-Beauty cares for your skin and K-Pop moves the world, K-Wellness cares for your heart, through warmth, presence, and connection rather than fixing or diagnosing.
- How is K-Wellness different from Western wellness?
- Western wellness often centers self-reliance and correcting negative thoughts. K-Wellness begins from 정 (jeong), the warmth of simply being together. It listens first, and reminds you that you are not alone in this.
- Is K-Wellness therapy or counseling?
- No. K-Wellness, and Ongi, are for everyday emotional wellness and self-reflection. They do not provide diagnosis or treatment and never replace professional medical or mental health care. In a crisis, please reach the hotlines on our disclaimer page.
- What does Jeong (정) mean?
- Jeong is a Korean word with no exact English translation: the deep bond that quietly grows when someone simply stays by your side, through good days and hard ones alike. It is the heart of K-Wellness.
- Why does Ongi use Korean emotion words?
- Some feelings have no single English word, like 서운함 (seounham) or 먹먹함 (meokmeokham). Like K-Beauty has its essence, K-Wellness has words for the heart. Ongi may gently offer the one that fits, as a small gift, never a lesson.
